Float or Wade!
The Bitterroot River flows through some wonderful scenery and is noted for it's dry fly fishing. The Sapphire mountains rise to the east while the Bitterroot mountains are found to the west. The Bitterroot is a great fly fishing destination due to the stream diversity and prolific hatches. Cutthroat, brown, rainbow, and brook trout can all be caught by the fly angler. The best part of the season runs from mid March through October due to the weather.

 Customer Reviews
Bitterroot RiverThe Bitterroot River is one of my favorite rivers to fish. It's fast action fishing as you swivel left to right casting at the green pockets of water. Surface fishing at it's finest with my favorite fly fishing guide Jim Mitchell.Written by Cary Thayne on Thu 25 Feb 2010 7:13:59 AM GMT
